Solutions to fix Facebook page not loading issue:-

When you login Facebook and get a blank screen then Facebook recommends you to refresh the page or ensure that JavaScript is enabled for your web browser. You can check your JavaScript settings by following the below-given steps:

Google Chrome web browser:-

  • First of all, tap on the Google Chrome menu bar (three horizontal dots) which is at the top-right corner of the screen and select the Settings
  • Now, tap on the Show Advanced Settings option which is below.
  • After that, navigate to the Privacy section and tap on the Content Settings
  • Now, tap on the bubble for Allow all sites to run JavaScript, in case it is not already marked.
  • If you want to add an exception for JavaScript to be used for Facebook by tapping on the Manage exceptions option then you can do it.
  • Now, open Facebook and see if the Facebook page isn’t loading issue has been resolved successfully.

Mozilla Firefox web browser:-

  • At first, open Mozilla Firefox and type about:config in address bar and hit the Enter
  • A pop-up window will open and tap on the I’ll be careful, I Promise
  • Now, navigate to search box and type enabled. If you have already enabled this then you will be able to see Facebook content. In case, you don’t find it then search for javascript.disabled. Right-click on the String option when you find it and tap on the Toggle option. Now, JavaScript will be enabled.
  • After that, install add-one like No-Script, SettingSanity, and QuickJava to manually control your JavaScript for Mozilla Firefox.
  • Open Facebook and see if Facebook page plugin not working issue has been resolved.

Internet Explorer web browser:-

  • At first, navigate to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
  • Now, tap on the Security
  • After that, go to the Internet zone and tap on the Default Level
  • Now, tap on the Back button and then tap on the Refresh option to run the JavaScript.
  • Open Facebook and check if Facebook not working issue has been resolved.

If you use HTTPS instead of HTTP:-

Another common reason why the Facebook page isn’t loading is that secure browsing is not available for Facebook or for the Facebook app. If you already set your Facebook to browse in secure mode then it may cause problems when you are switching back and forth between HTTPS and HTTP. So, to fix this issue try to use HTTPS instead of HTTP whenever you are browsing on facebook.com. Also, follow the below-given steps:

  • At first, tap on the Account menu which is at the top right corner of your Facebook and click on the Account Settings
  • Now, navigate to the Account Security section and tap on the Change
  • If possible, uncheck Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https).
  • Now, tap on the Save option close it.
  • Prelaunch your web browser and direct it to facebbok.com to see if the Facebook page not working has been resolved successfully.

Make sure your web browser is updated:-

If you work on an out-dated version of your web browser then you may get the Facebook page not loading issue. So, update your web browser with the latest version including Facebook to fix this error. Sometimes, browser may be corrupted so it is better to install the latest version to fix such type of error.

Remove web browser data:-

Cache, cookies and browsing data can also cause an issue to load the Facebook page. You can remove it, but the process is different for different web browsers.

Google Chrome web browser:-

  • First of all, tap on the Google Chrome menu bar (three horizontal dots) which is at the top-right corner of the browser.
  • Scroll down and select Tools option and then tap on the Clear Browsing Data.
  • Now, a pop-up will appear to ask what you want to clear.
  • Select the files which you want to clear. It will affect other sites that you save cache. The best option to select from beginning of time and then tap on the Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data option and then click on the Empty the cache
  • Now, tap on the Clear browsing data to complete the process. Close your Google Chrome web browser.
  • Reopen Chrome browser and open facebook.com to see if the Facebook page not working issue has been resolved.

Mozilla Firefox web browser:-

  • At first, tap on the Firefox button which is at the top of your web browser and click on the Options
  • Now, navigate to the Advanced section and select Network
  • After that, go to the Cached web Content section and select Clear Now
  • Now, tap on the OK
  • Reopen Chrome browser and open facebook.com to see if the Facebook page not working issue has been resolved.

Internet Explorer web browser:-

  • At first, navigate to the Tools menu which is at the upper right corner of the browser.
  • Now, tap on the Delete Browsing History
  • After that, tap on the Delete files option and then Delete cookies and Delete history
  • Now, tap on the OK option to exit and reopen your web browser.
  • Open Facebook and check if Facebook page not working has been fixed.
